A.W. Yrjänä: Eidolon
Charismatic A.W. Yrjänä, who rose to fame as the frontman of the band CMX, takes the Huvila stage to celebrate his new solo album. During the evening, the ambitious Eidolon album—consisting of two tracks, each over twenty minutes long—will be performed in its entirety for the very first time. The concert will also feature other material from Yrjänä’s illustrious 40-year career. This concert (including an intermission) invites the audience into the unique world of one of Finland’s most respected lyricists, where poetic thought, powerful storytelling, and musical adventure go hand in hand.
Tailored specifically for Huvila, the performance offers a rare opportunity to witness the artist at the exact point in his career where a new work comes to life before a live audience—set against the perfect backdrop of a darkening August evening. Joining Yrjänä on stage are guitarists Jaakko Rossi and Erno Laitinen, keyboardist Oscar Gräsbeck, and drummer Jakke Saarinen.
