Miika Suonperä. Audience members are invited to join a post-show discussion on the themes of the work.
The performance is inspired by the University of Eastern Finland's research project Survival of the Fittest or Services for All?, which examines what it takes to access public services in the welfare state of the 2020s. Both the research project and the performance are funded by the Kone Foundation.
Vauriomania is an interdisciplinary collective founded by Jonnakaisa Risto and Juuso Timonen. The group creates grotesque works with the means of both theatre and film. Their award-winning productions have premiered at venues including the Finnish National Theatre and Viirus Theatre, and have toured extensively throughout Finland.
