Housing the University of Lapland’s Arctic Centre and the Regional Museum of Lapland, we stimulate thought, encourage debate, and provide a deeper understanding of the Arctic.
Discover Finnish Lapland, its fascinating nature, and the people and customs of those living north of the Arctic Circle.
Taste and feel the north in Arktikum Café. You’ll get to savour the colourful northern harvest in our lunch buffet and soak in arctic design on your coffee break. Quality and style in food, drink and service carry through to our catering service.
At our tickets sales, you will find a shop chock-full of Lappish handicrafts, design products, jewellery and books.
Coat racks and lockers are free of charge and can be found near the ticket sales. Larger luggage can be stored in the luggage room while you enjoy your visit. Arktikum is not responsible of any items left on the stands.

The Arktikum entrance ticket does not include live guiding. The guided tours are available (on request) for the groups. Please contact us in advance: info@arktikum.fi.
Arktikum’s main entrance door is automatic, however, accessibility can be somewhat hampered by the heavy exhibition doors. It is for this reason that we recommend that you have someone to assist you with opening the doors, should you require additional help. Assistants are welcomed and given free admission.
Handicapped toilet facilities are located in the upper corridor on the left side of the coat racks.
Elevators are located on both sides of the main corridor; past the information desk and museum shop and before the stairs.
