Public transport

The Ateneum is well connected by public transport, as it is located next to the main railway station. The nearest metro stations are Rautatientori and the University of Helsinki (about a 200-metre walk).

Parking

No parking is available at the Ateneum. The nearest car park is P-Eliel.

Venue

The Ateneum Art Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma and the Sinebrychoff Art Museum together form the Finnish National Gallery. Our collection includes nearly 30,000 national treasures, works of art owned by us all. Our collection spans from the 18th century to Modernism.

Accessibility

An accessible entrance with a lift is located on the Ateneuminkuja side of the museum. Taxi drop off and pick up address: Mikonkatu 10, at the end of Ateneuminkuja. Disabled guests are reminded that assistant tickets need to be reserved online for the same time slot as the disabled guest. Please be prepared to present your EU Disability Card at the museum.

VIP Information

The museum shop is located on the first floor. The accessible entrance is on the Ateneuminkuja side. The cafés of the museum are located on the first and on the third floor.
