Sweden’s top folk rock band at Tampere Hall!
The Swedish cult band Kebnekajse is known for revolutionizing the expression of Swedish folk music. The group combines traditional tunes, polskas, and folk fiddler music with strong grooves, a psychedelic rock sound, and deep Nordic melancholy.
Emerging from the progressive rock scene of the 1970s, Kebnekajse has often been praised as “Sweden’s finest folk fiddler band,” never standing still. Their distinctive style has made them a significant influence in both folk music and rock.
Kebnekajse does not rely solely on nostalgia in their live performances but continues to move forward with determination. Their music blends new ideas, fresh stories, and an uncompromising dedication to melody and strong rhythmic swing. Throughout their career, Kebnekajse has maintained its position as a unique and relevant band whose energy and musical boldness continue to resonate with new generations.
