Pay your event tickets with Epassi benefits in Lippu.fi's partner webshops
Epassi benefits are personal employment benefits.
Lippu.fi's partner webshops only accept Epassi as a payment method for cultural benefits.
You can use Epassi benefits to buy event tickets only for yourself. More information about potential limitations is available on the Tax Administration’s website (in Finnish).
The purchases must be made under the same name you have received your Epassi benefits.
You can only pay for event tickets with Epassi. The benefit cannot be used for tickets that include catering or other additional services.
HOW DO I PAY WITH EPASSI IN LIPPU.FI'S PARTNER WEBSHOPS?
Purchasing a ticket is done in the usual way by adding the ticket and any other possible products to the shopping cart.
Please note: Epassi benefits are personal and can only be used to purchase an event ticket for yourself. The benefit cannot be used for tickets that include catering or other additional services.
When paying with Epassi, you can also purchase Ticket Cover insurance for your ticket.
On the payment page, you can choose how much of the total purchase amount you want to pay with Epassi, and pay the rest with your chosen other payment method.
The Epassi payment is made through Epassi's online service. After selecting the payment method, you will authenticate with strong identification or with your Epassi user credentials. After authentication, you confirm the payment.
Once the Epassi portion has been paid, the remaining balance of the order will be paid with your chosen payment method.
When paying with Epassi benefits, we charge a cultural payment method fee of 3.75% of the used cultural benefit amount.
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH BALANCE ON MY EPASSI BENEFIT TO PAY FOR THE TICKET IN FULL?
If your Epassi benefit does not cover the full ticket price, you can pay the remaining amount using your preferred payment method or use Epassi's MyMoney function.
EPASSI'S MYMONEY:
MyMoney is your own money that you can load onto your Epassi account and use as needed, for example, when the amount to be paid exceeds the employee benefit. Read more about MyMoney here.
Ticket types that cannot be paid using culture benefits
The Tax Administration has determined that tickets to the following types of events cannot be bought with culture benefits due to tax-related reasons:
Tickets for other persons, as the benefit is always personal
Fair tickets, as fairs are not defined as a culture event but rather a sales event (excluding some sports and culture fairs, for which using culture benefits is allowed)
Tickets including accommodation
Tickets including food or beverage services
Amusement park tickets
Casino tickets
Family tickets
Gift vouchers to others
Open tickets that have no certain specific date determined during the time of purchase (such as zoo tickets)
Important information regarding event/ticket cancellations when the order has been paid with Epassi benefits. Refunds will be processed in the following ways:
- If the event is canceled or rescheduled, the refund will be issued as a Lippu.fi gift card. The value of the gift card is the price of the ticket(s) without service fees. The Lippu.fi gift card will be sent to the email used for the order.
- Incorrect orders canceled within the same day will be fully refunded to the Epassi account.
- Refunds will not be issued in cash or via bank transfer.
