Pay your event tickets with Edenred’s Virike benefit in the lippu.fi online shop
You can buy yourself an event ticket with your Edenred card via Lippu.fi’s Edenred shop.
The Mastercard-based Edenred card can be used as a payment method in the online shop.
The benefit is always personal, meaning that you can use Edenred’s Virike benefit to only buy one event ticket for yourself. The benefit cannot be used for tickets that include catering or other additional services. More information about potential limitations is available on the Tax Administration’s website (in Finnish).
You can only buy tickets for yourself, which means that the purchase must be made under the same name as is shown in the information of your Virike benefit.
You can find all the events included in the Virike benefit in the Edenred ticket shop, where you can only buy tickets with Edenred’s Virike benefit and a Lippu.fi gift voucher.
The Virike benefit also allows you to buy a gift voucher for your own use.
Culture benefits cannot be used for paying via the Lippu.fi app, so please use the browser version of lippu.fi when shopping on a mobile device.
HOW CAN I PAY WITH EDENRED IN THE LIPPU.FI ONLINE SHOP?
You can pay with Edenred only in the separate Edenred ticket shop of lippu.fi. Edenred cannot be used as a payment method at lippu.fi.
You can purchase the ticket as usual, by adding it to your cart. Please note that you can only select one ticket per order, as the benefit is a personal employment benefit.
When paying with Edenred, you can purchase Ticket Cover insurance for your ticket while it is still in your shopping cart or you can use a gift voucher or a discount code the same way as in the lippu.fi online shop.
During the payment stage, enter your Edenred card information in the designated fields, as when paying with a credit card.
You will be sent an order confirmation and the tickets as normal, with the delivery method of your choice.
When paying with Virike benefit, Lippu.fi charges a percentage-based cultural payment method fee of 5.6% of the ticket price.
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH BALANCE ON MY EDENRED CARD TO PAY FOR THE TICKET IN FULL?
If you do not have enough Virike balance to pay for your ticket, you can use a lippu.fi gift voucher as an additional payment method.
Purchase a gift voucher from the regular lippu.fi online shop using your own money. For the gift voucher value, you can choose a sum that is closest to the value that remains on top of the Virike benefit’s balance. Voucher values start from €5.
Note! When selecting the value of the gift card, please keep in mind that a cultural payment method fee of 5.6% of the ticket price, an order fee, and any possible delivery costs will be added to the total amount of the purchase.
When your ticket is in your cart, you will first need to use the gift voucher by entering the gift voucher number to the field intended for it.
After using the gift voucher, you can use your Virike benefit to pay for the ticket’s remaining value.
For the Edenred benefit, there are no other online payment methods in use.
TIPS FOR PAYING WITH CULTURAL BENEFITS:
HOW CAN I MAKE SURE MY FRIEND AND I ARE SITTING TOGETHER IF I AM ONLY ALLOWED TO BUY ONE TICKET?
If you wish to purchase adjacent seats for an event with your companions, you can buy other tickets using a different browser or device simultaneously. Make sure to use different browsers to keep session cookies separate. When buying your companion’s ticket, go to the lippu.fi online shop where you can pay through your online bank, with a card or by using mobile payment.
Please take into account that if the event is very popular and tickets are sold quickly, it is not guaranteed that you will get side-by-side seats using this method.
Culture benefits can also be used as a payment method in Lippu.fi sales services and ticket outlets. When purchasing tickets via sales services or ticket outlets, several tickets can be included in the order, and other payment methods can be used in addition to the culture benefit. TICKET TYPES THAT CANNOT BE PAID IN THE LIPPU.FI ONLINE SHOP USING CULTURE BENEFITS
The Tax Administration has determined that tickets to the following types of events cannot be bought with culture benefits due to tax-related reasons:
Tickets for other persons, as the benefit is always personal
Fair tickets, as fairs are not defined as a culture event but rather a sales event (excluding some sports and culture fairs, for which using culture benefits is allowed)
Tickets including accommodation
Tickets including food or beverage services
Amusement park tickets
Casino tickets
Family tickets
Gift vouchers to others
Open tickets that have no certain specific date determined during the time of purchase (such as zoo tickets)
Important information regarding event/ticket cancellations when the order has been paid with Edenred benefits. Refunds will be processed in the following ways:
- If the event is canceled or rescheduled, the refund will be issued as a Lippu.fi gift card. The value of the gift card is the price of the ticket(s) without service fees. The Lippu.fi gift card will be sent to the email used for the order.
- Incorrect orders canceled within the same day will be fully refunded to the Edenred account.
- Refunds will not be issued in cash or via bank transfer.
