Verkatehdas is located in the heart of Hämeenlinna, with excellent transport connections and right by the beautiful Lake Vanajavesi. Hämeenlinna railway station is just 700 metres from Verkatehdas. As one of the key stations along Finland’s main railway line, Hämeenlinna offers smooth connections to cities across the country. The bus station is also located approximately 700 metres away. It serves as a major hub for long-distance bus traffic, with daily services to numerous destinations throughout Finland. The nearest local bus stops to Verkatehdas are Terveyskeskus I and Terveyskeskus L on Viipurintie, and Pikkujärvi E and Pikkujärvi P on Keinusaarentie.

There is plenty of parking space at the Verkatehdas, most of which is chargeable. However, the parking spaces available in front of the Verkatehdas during events are limited. We recommend using the Keinuparkki during events or prefer other arrival options instead of a car. Information about parking: Verkatehdas There are a total of 119 parking spaces in front of the Verkatehdas, BioRex and the bridge of Paasikiventie. Five of these are reserved for disabled persons. In addition, there are five places for the disabled in front of the Hämeenlinna Theatre. The car park has 268 spaces with 6 spaces for disabled persons. Main entrance Verkatehdas' main entrance is accessible and located on the ground floor, on the side of the building facing Lake Vanajavesi. Accessibility inside the building Most of Verkatehdas’ facilities are accessible during events. The event spaces on the second floor can be reached by lift, located next to the Info desk. Accessible toilets are available on the ground floor. Accessible seating in the Vanaja Hall Vanaja Hall has a limited number of accessible wheelchair spaces. Please notify us of wheelchair use when booking your tickets. There are no stairs between rows 1–7 in the stalls, and the entrance to these rows is through Door A, which is located in the Glass Yard on the ground floor of the main building. Row 22 is also step-free and accessible via Doors B or C on the second floor of the main building, which is reachable by lift. Please note that the third-floor balcony and foyer of Vanaja Hall are not accessible during events. Hearing assistance An induction loop is available in Vanaja Hall (rows 5–15), in Meeting Room 1, and in the Studio. Accessible parking There are 8 accessible parking spaces in the main building’s parking area. Additional accessible parking is available in front of Hämeenlinna Theatre. Short-term (10-minute) drop-off and pick-up parking is available free of charge in front of the main building.
