Somewhere between the lost forests of Tapiola and the depths of the Baltic Sea, the mythical
Harri Kala has awakened. It is an endangered species of sea-dwelling grayling that once
thrived in the Baltic Sea but has now nearly vanished. Now Harri Kala reappears to share
messages from its ancestors and to reflect with humans on the state of the waters, the world,
and the future. A new adventure awaits, and the audience has an important role!
Legend of Harri Kala is Harold Hejazi's latest work, a playable ritual combining improv
theatre and multiplayer gameplay. The performance invites you to step into the Harriharri
universe, where game characters come to life, and the audience can influence the game
world by using their voices.
This work is part of the award-winning Adventures of Harriharri video game performance
series. Previous parts have been performed at the Ateneum, the Helsinki City Theatre and
abroad in Austria, Germany, and Sweden. Legend of Harri Kala is the fourth part of the series,
and Tapiola forms part of the world of the performance.
