Romantics

Romantics is a new dance and music piece for four dancers and a pianist. The work is inspired by 19th-century piano music that has touched people from one generation to the next. The piece builds a bridge between different eras, seeks a symbiotic connection between dance and music, and highlights the humanizing power of art. In the piece, the dancers make the music visible and, with its support, create a strong bond with one another. The choreography is by dance artist Anu Sistonen. The performers are Suvi Honkanen, Liza Vorontsova, Waltteri Voitila (dance), and pianist Samuel Eriksson. Lighting design is by Pinja Kokkonen.
