The Sound of Now: TampereRaw – The Beginning of Time
Small Auditorium, Tampere Hall
Standard tickets €29, pensioners €24, children and youth (up to 16 years) and students €10
TampereRaw’s third The Sound of Now concert, The Beginning of Time, pauses to contemplate time itself and its passage. Time is constant change, birth, growth, and the disappearance of all things.
The works featured in the concert reflect the cycle of life. They invite listeners to ponder the miracle of birth, the fragility of existence, and the inevitability of death. The evening’s programme includes compositions by Esa Pietilä (b. 1964), Jüri Reinvere (b. 1971), Petri Nieminen (b. 1965), Eelis Uusivirta (b. 2004), and Outi Tarkiainen (b. 1985).
Inspired by Olivier Messiaen’s (1908–1992) Quartet for the End of Time, the programme focuses on a message of joy and hope amid the turmoil of the world, at the dawn of a new era. Join us in experiencing the creation of the newest music and in making this moment in time meaningful.
Before the concert, a free panel discussion event will take place at Tampere Hall’s lobby from 5:30 pm to 6:15 pm. The theme and speakers will be announced later.
