Helsinki Harps Folk Groupin Halloween Céilí on ainutlaatuinen musiikin, tanssin ja kepposten täyttämä ilta, jossa yhdistyvät irlantilainen Halloween-kulttuuri ja sadonkorjuuperinteet sekä suomalaisen kekrin elementit.
Illan musiikista vastaa The Helsinki Harps Folk Group, joka esiintyy perinteisissä, Suomessa kasvatetusta ja kerätystä kauranoljesta käsin kudotuissa asuissa. Yleisö pääsee mukaan tanssimaan, laulamaan ja osallistumaan yhteiseen Halloween-juhlaan, joka ammentaa Irlannissa Samhainina tunnetun juhlan vanhoista perinteistä.
Yleisöä kannustetaan saapumaan paikalle pukeutuneena, ja erityisesti Samhain- tai kekrihenkiset asut ovat tervetulleita, mutta mukaan voi myös tulla juuri sellaisena kuin haluaa! Illan parhaat asut palkitaan, ja lisäksi yleisöllä on mahdollisuus opetella perinteisiä Céilí-ryhmätansseja.
Luvassa on ilta täynnä kansanmusiikkia, tanssia, asuja ja yhdessä juhlimista. Nähdään siellä!

The Helsinki Harps Folk Group's Halloween Céilí is a unique night of music, dance and mischief that combines many aspects of Irish Halloween culture, harvest traditions and elements of Finland's very own Kekri festival.
Led by a musical performance from The Helsinki Harps Folk Group in traditional costumes hand woven from oat straw grown and collected here in Finland, this will be a night where the audience will be given space to dance, sing along and participate actively in a collective Halloween celebration that gets right to the original pagan roots of the holiday traditionally known as Samháin in Ireland.
Audience members are invited to come in costume, with a Samháin or Kekri focus being encouraged. But you are of course welcome to come however you wish! There'll be prizes on the night for the best costumes and a chance to learn some traditional group Céilí dances too!
This promises to be a night not to be missed! See you there!
P.S For any confused Finns, Céilí is pronouced "Kei-lih". :-)
